The people of this area got corrugated sheeting or timber to construct their houses and then whatever bits of paint couldbe found was used hence the colourfull appearrance of the houses. Today these houses are preserved and in some cases rebuilt to maintain the character of the area.
"La Boca" is the team name that Maradona played for and the La Boca sadium is the only place in the world where the Cocoa Cola hoarding is in White & Black. Coca Cola were not allowed to use their traditional Red & White as these are the team colours of the La Boca main rivals River Plate
